Russian Anna Blinkova moved into the second round of the Austin Open by beating American qualifier Ann Li 6-4, 6-4 at the Westwood Country Club on Monday.
Blinkova, ranked No 72, will face the winner of the match between Pole Magda Linette, the top seed, and Russian Varvara Gracheva next.
