Etcheverry beats Baez to reach first ATP final
Tomas Martin Etcheverry beat Sebastian Baez 7-5, 6-3 on Saturday. He’ll face Chilean Nicolas Jarry for the title

Tomas Martin Etcheverry advanced to the final of the Chile Open by winning against No 3 seed Sebastian Baez 7-5, 6-3 at the Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago on Saturday.
Etcheverry, ranked No 76, will play Chilean Nicolas Jarry next.
It will be the Argentine’s first final on the ATP Tour.
Ahead of his victory, Tomas Martin Etcheverry defeated Italian Fabio Fognini (6-1, 7-6 (1)), second seed Francisco Cerundolo (6-3, 3-6, 6-3) and Serb Dusan Lajovic (6-1, 6-2).
Baez, ranked No 35, beat Chilean wildcard Cristian Garin (6-4, 6-3) and Serb Laslo Djere, the No 6 seed (7-6 (4), 6-4).
