No 5 seed J.J. Wolf moved into the last eight of the US Clay Court Championships by winning against Denis Kudla 6-4, 6-1 at River Oaks Country Club in Houston on Saturday.
Wolf, ranked No 54, will face Dutchman Gijs Brouwer next.
J.J. Wolf defeated Australian Jordan Thompson (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round of the Houston Open.
In the previous round of the Houston Open, Kudla, ranked No 137, edged out Australian qualifier Aleksandar Vukic (6-4, 4-6, 6-4).
