Barcelona Open: Khachanov advances to last 16
Karen Khachanov defeated Nicolas Jarry 6-4, 6-4 on Wednesday. He’ll play the winner of the match between No 12 seed Daniel Evans and Italian qualifier Matteo Arnaldi in the next round
Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 6 seed, moved into the last 16 of the Barcelona Open by beating Chilean Nicolas Jarry 6-4, 6-4 at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona on Wednesday.
Khachanov, ranked No 11, will play the winner of the match between No 12 seed Daniel Evans and Italian qualifier Matteo Arnaldi next.
In the previous round of the Barcelona tournament, Jarry, ranked No 51, won against Argentinian qualifier Marco Trungelliti (7-5, 6-3).
