Prague Open: Cristian advances to semi-finals

Romanian Jaqueline Cristian moved into the semi-finals of the Prague Open by defeating Ukrainian Kateryna Baindl, the No 8 seed, 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 at TK Sparta Praha on Friday.
Cristian, ranked No 122, will face the winner of the match between wildcard Tereza Martincova and Japanese lucky loser Nao Hibino next.
The Romanian edged out top seed Marie Bouzkova (6-4, 4-6, 6-4) and won against Colombian qualifier Emiliana Arango (6-4, 6-3) in the previous rounds of the Prague tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Baindl, ranked No 98, beat qualifier Dayana Yastremska (6-4, 2-6, 6-2) and German Jule Niemeier (5-0 ret.).
