Muchova stops Potapova in Montreal first-rounder
Karolina Muchova won against Anastasia Potapova 7-6 (4), 6-2 on Tuesday. She’ll face Romanian Sorana Cirstea in the next round.

No 14 seed Karolina Muchova defeated Russian Anastasia Potapova 7-6 (4), 6-2 to advance to the second round of the Canadian Open at Stade IGA in Montreal on Tuesday evening.
Muchova, ranked No 17 and a finalist at the French Open, will play Romanian Sorana Cirstea next.
