Winston-Salem Open: Baez through to last eight, to meet Djere next
The Argentine defeated Aleksandar Vukic 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 on Wednesday

Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 6 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Winston-Salem Open by edging out Australian Aleksandar Vukic, the No 9 seed, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 at Wake Forest Tennis Complex on Wednesday.
Baez, ranked No 42, will play Serb Laslo Djere, the No 4 seed, in the next round.
The 22-year-old Argentine edged out Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan (3-6, 6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Winston-Salem tournament.
Earlier in the week, Vukic, ranked No 51, won against Frenchman Luca Van Assche (6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-3).
