Alert US Open: Djokovic beats Fritz (again) and moves into semi-finals
Novak Djokovic won against Taylor Fritz (6-1, 6-4, 6-4) on Tuesday evening and will play the winner of the match between No 10 seed Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton in the semi-finals

Serb Novak Djokovic, the second seed, beat American Taylor Fritz, the No 9 seed, in straight sets (6-1, 6-4, 6-4) to move into the last four of the US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York on Tuesday evening. Djokovic now leads Fritz 8-0.
Djokovic, ranked No 2, will face the winner of the match between No 10 seed Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton next.
Ahead of his victory, the 36-year-old Serb won against Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-0, 6-2, 6-3), Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles (6-4, 6-1, 6-1), No 32 seed Laslo Djere (4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3) and Croat qualifier Borna Gojo (6-2, 7-5, 6-4).
Fritz, ranked No 9, won against wildcard Steve Johnson (6-2, 6-1, 6-2), Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas (6-1, 6-2, 6-2), qualifier Jakub Mensik (6-1, 6-2, 6-0) and Swiss qualifier Dominic Stricker (7-6 (2), 6-4, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
