No 4 seed Jiri Lehecka reached the quarter-finals of the Astana Open by defeating Belarusian qualifier Egor Gerasimov 6-2, 7-6 (3) at the Daulet National Tennis Center.
Lehecka, ranked No 29, will face the winner of the match between Russian wildcard Alexander Shevchenko and Serb wildcard Hamad Medjedovic next.
Egor Gerasimov won against Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles (7-6 (5), 6-3) in the previous round of the Nur-Sultan tournament.
