Swiss wildcard Dominic Stricker beat Lebanese qualifier Benjamin Hassan 7-6 (2), 6-2 to move into the second round of the Swiss Indoors at the Halle Saint-Jacques in Basel on Tuesday afternoon.

Stricker, ranked No 96, will face the winner of the match between Kazakh Alexander Bublik and Norwegian Casper Ruud, the second seed, next.
