ATP Brisbane: Dimitrov beats wildcard Hijikata to move into semis
The Bulgarian will face the winner of the match between Spanish wildcard Rafael Nadal and Australian Jordan Thompson in the next round

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the second seed, moved into the semi-finals of the Brisbane Open by defeating Australian wildcard Rinky Hijikata 6-1, 6-4 at the Queensland Tennis Centre on Friday.
Dimitrov, ranked No 14, will play the winner of the match between former world No 1 Rafael Nadal and Australian Jordan Thompson next.
The Bulgarian won against Andy Murray (4-6, 7-5, 6-2) and German Daniel Altmaier (6-1, 6-2) earlier in the week.
In the previous rounds of the Brisbane tournament, Hijikata, ranked No 71, won against Thanasi Kokkinakis (7-6 (8), 6-2) and edged out qualifier Tomas Machac (5-7, 6-2, 7-6 (4)).
