Upper Austria Ladies: Mertens brushes aside Bronzetti to book spot in quarter-finals

Belgian Elise Mertens, the No 4 seed, advanced to the last eight of the Upper Austria Ladies by winning against Italian Lucia Bronzetti 6-1, 6-3 at the TipsArena in Linz.
Mertens, ranked No 26, will play Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova next.
In the previous round of the Linz tournament, Bronzetti, ranked No 58, defeated German wildcard Angelique Kerber (6-1, 6-3).
