Stuttgart Open: Nakashima reaches last four

American Brandon Nakashima reached the semi-finals of the Stuttgart Open after German Jan-Lennard Struff, the No 7 seed, withdrew before the match at Tennisclub Weissenhof Stuttgart on Friday.
Nakashima, ranked No 70, will play the winner of the match between American Frances Tiafoe, the No 4 seed, and No 6 seed Jack Draper next.
Ahead of his victory, the 22-year-old American won against Christopher Eubanks (7-6 (4), 6-4) and French lucky loser Richard Gasquet (6-3, 6-4).
Struff, ranked No 35, defeated Italian Flavio Cobolli (7-6 (7), 6-3) and Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-4, 7-6) earlier in the tournament.
