Swiss Jil Teichmann beat Liechtensteiner lucky loser Kathinka von Deichmann 6-4, 6-1 to reach the quarter-finals of the Montreux Nestlé Open on Wednesday evening.
Teichmann, ranked No 202, will face Spaniard Nuria Parrizas Diaz, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Swiss won against Frenchwoman Elsa Jacquemot (6-0, 4-6, 6-2).
Von Deichmann, ranked No 216, edged out Swiss wildcard Valentina Ryser (2-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4) in the previous round.
