Kudermetova loses from 5-0 up in third set at Guadalajara Open

Colombian Camila Osorio edged out Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the No 7 seed, 7-6, 6-7 (2), 7-5 to advance to the last eight of the Guadalajara Open at the Panamerican Tennis Center on Wednesday.
Kudermetova was in complete control of the match, up 5-0 in the final set and serving for a spot in the quarter-finals. She then capitulated, losing seven straight games to crash out of the tournament in dramatic fashion.
Osorio, ranked No 80, will face Russian Kamilla Rakhimova next.
Ahead of her victory, the 22-year-old Colombian defeated American Hailey Baptiste (6-3, 6-2).
Kudermetova, ranked No 42, won against American lucky loser Sachia Vickery (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Guadalajara tournament.
