American qualifier Whitney Osuigwe defeated German Tatjana Maria, the second seed, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the last 16 of the Dow Tennis Classic on Tuesday evening.
Osuigwe, ranked No 379, will face American wildcard Lauren Davis next.
