Swiss Celine Naef defeated Japanese Sara Saito 6-0, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Open BLS de Limoges on Thursday.
Naef, ranked No 181, will face the winner of the match between Liechtensteiner Kathinka von Deichmann and Russian Erika Andreeva, the No 5 seed, next.
In the previous round, the 19-year-old Swiss won against Frenchwoman Oceane Dodin, the No 9 seed (6-3, 6-1).
Saito, ranked No 156, won against Croat Petra Martic (6-4, 6-3) in the previous round.
