Auckland Open: Tauson moves into quarter-finals
Clara Tauson edged out Sofia Kenin 4-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (3) on Wednesday and will play the winner of the match between Madison Keys and Jaqueline Cristian next

Dane Clara Tauson, the No 5 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Auckland Open by edging out American Sofia Kenin 4-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (3) at the ASB Tennis Arena on Wednesday.
Tauson, ranked No 50, will face the winner of the match between American Madison Keys, the top seed, and Romanian Jaqueline Cristian next.
In the previous round of the Auckland tournament, the 22-year-old Dane won against Italian qualifier Lucrezia Stefanini (6-2, 6-3).
Kenin, ranked No 81, defeated Chinese Xiyu Wang (7-6 (5), 6-1) during the first round of the Auckland tournament.
