Arnaldi quick to secure spot in Dallas Open quarter-finals

Matteo Arnaldi, the No 8 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Dallas Open by defeating Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-1, 6-3 at the Ford Center at The Star on Thursday.
Arnaldi, ranked No 39, will next play Spaniard Jaume Munar next.
The Italian beat American qualifier Christopher Eubanks (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the tournament.
In the first round, Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 59, knocked off American qualifier Brandon Holt (6-1, 7-5).
