Marrakech Open: Darderi books spot in quarter-finals

Italian Luciano Darderi, the No 7 seed, defeated Frenchman Hugo Gaston 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals of the Marrakech Open at Royal Tennis Club de Marrakech on Thursday.
Darderi, ranked No 57, will play Vit Kopriva next.
The Italian won against American Tristan Boyer (6-4, 6-4) ahead of his win today.
In the previous round of the tournament, Gaston, ranked No 84, edged out Argentinian qualifier Juan Manuel Cerundolo (5-7, 6-3, 6-4).
