Bucharest: Top seed Baez through to semi-finals to face Fucsovics
The top seed beat Francisco Comesana 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-1 on Friday
Top seed Sebastian Baez reached the semi-finals of the Bucharest Open by defeating Francisco Comesana 7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-1 at the Năstase & Marica Sports Club. on Friday.
The Argentine, ranked No 36, will play Hungarian Marton Fucsovics next.
Baez won against Canadian Gabriel Diallo (7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-2) in the previous round of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Comesana, ranked No 64, edged out Slovak qualifier Martin Klizan (4-6, 7-5, 7-5) and won against Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 5 seed (6-4, 3-6, 6-3).
