Houston Open: Qualifier Brooksby into semi-finals to face top seed Paul
Brooksby edged out Aleksandar Kovacevic 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 on Friday

Qualifier Jenson Brooksby reached the semi-finals of the Houston Open by edging out Aleksandar Kovacevic 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at River Oaks Country Club on Friday.
Brooksby will face top seed Tommy Paul for a place in the final.
Ahead of his win today, Brooksby won against Japanese Taro Daniel (6-4, 6-4) and edged out Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 3 seed (3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6)).
Kovacevic, ranked No 79, defeated Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 7 seed (6-3, 6-4) and French qualifier Corentin Denolly (6-3, 6-3) earlier in the week.
