American Brandon Nakashima, the No 6 seed, advanced to the last 16 of the Boss Open by winning against Jacob Fearnley 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1 on Monday.
Nakashima, ranked No 31, will face the winner of the match between American Learner Tien and Japanese Yoshihito Nishioka next.
