Cameron Norrie defeated qualifier Billy Harris 6-3, 7-6 (4) to move into the second round of the Citi Open at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Washington on Monday evening.

The Brit will challenge Lorenzo Musetti, the French Open semi-finalist and seed No. 2, next.

This year’s Mubadala Citi DC Open boasts one of its strongest fields yet, headlined by five Top 10 players including World No. 7 Lorenzo Musetti, No. 8 Ben Shelton, and No. 9 Holger Rune.

Shelton enters with momentum after cracking the Top 10 and reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals, while Musetti hopes to become the second Italian champion after Jannik Sinner in 2021.

Also in the hunt are veteran contenders like Andrey Rublev and Daniel Evans, as well as 2016 champion Gaël Monfils, who returns for his 11th appearance in D.C. at age 38.
