Belgrade Open: Musetti books spot in last eight
Lorenzo Musetti edged out Stan Wawrinka 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 on Wednesday
Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the second seed, edged out Swiss wildcard Stan Wawrinka 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Belgrade Open at the Belgrade Arena on Wednesday evening. Wawrinka was two points away from the win, serving at 5-4 in the third.
Musetti, ranked No 9, will play Frenchman Alexandre Muller, the No 5 seed, next. He is two wins away from a direct qualification for the ATP Finals.
Wawrinka, ranked No 159, edged out Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp (2-6, 7-6 (5), 7-5) in the previous round of the Belgrade tournament.
