Borna Coric’s first Masters title has propelled him back into the ATP’s top-30. The 25-year-old Croatian, who topped Stefanos Tsitsipas in the Western and Southern Open final on Sunday, will also be seeded at the US Open next week after a resurgent run to his third career title.

Coric wasn’t the only player making a big jump in the rankings. Scroll down as we run down the risers and fallers…

Coric: + 123 to 29

It was an eye-opening week for Coric, who took out five top-15 seeds (including Rafael Nadal) en route to his maiden Masters 1000 title at Cincinnati. The former world No 12 had dropped to as low as 278 in the ATP rankings in May, as he was beginning his comeback from shoulder surgery.

Three months later he is the ATP’s fourth maiden Masters 1000 champion of 2022 – also Fritz, Indian Wells, Alcaraz, Miami and Carreno Busta, Montreal – and the lowest-ranked champion in Cincinnati history.

Entering the week at 152, Coric has also become the lowest-ranked Masters 1000 title winner. He rises to 29 in Monday’s rankings.

Tsitsipas back in the top-5

Though he fell short in Sunday’s final against Coric, Stefanos Tsitsipas rises to No 5 in the rankings, after spending a week at No 7. The Greek’s career-high ranking is 3.

Norrie hits a new career-high

Cameron Norrie reached the semi-finals at Cincinnati, playing one of the most entertaining matches of the tournament, and perhaps the 2022 season in the quarter-finals, where he took out Carlos Alcaraz in three grueling sets.

For his efforts the British No1 ticks a new career-high at No 9 in the rankings, rising two spots from 11.

Auger-Aliassime rises to career-high No 8

Canada’s Felix Auger-Aliassime ran into the juggernaut known as Borna Coric in the quarter-finals at Cincinnati, but by reaching the elite eight he secured himself a spot in the ATP’s top-eight for the first time, coming in at No 8 in Monday’s rankings.

France’s Constant Lestienne, last week’s Vancouver challenger champion thanks to wins over Dominik Koepfer, Fernando Verdasco, Ugo Humbert and Arthur Rinderknech, rises 19 spots to a career-high of 75.
