Lucky loser SoonWoo Kwon defeated Czech qualifier Tomas Machac 6-4, 6-4 to move into the second round of the Adelaide International 2 at Memorial Drive Tennis Centre on Tuesday night.
Kwon, ranked No 84, will face second seed Pablo Carreno Busta next.
