Carlos Alcaraz said it best on his birthday in Madrid. Asked if he felt like an adult now that he was 20, he said the following: “I would like to be a teenager a little bit more, you know, for the stats.”

  12. Youngest men’s champion and 1st Spanish men’s champion in 37-year history of Miami Open  Third-youngest ATP Masters 1000 champion since series started in 1990 (Miami).
  13. Youngest player to complete Sunshine Double of men’s semi-finals (Indian Wells, Miami) 
  14. At the US Open Alcaraz became the youngest US Open men’s singles champion since Pete Sampras in 1990 and the youngest Grand Slam men’s singles champion since Nadal in 2005. 
  15. Became the youngest No.1 in history on September 12, 2022, at the age of 19 years and 214 days. 
  16. Became the youngest year-end No.1 in year-end history 
  17. Became the youngest player to complete the career sunshine double, winning both Indian Wells and Miami before turning 20. 
  18. Became the youngest player to win Indian Wells since Boris Becker in 1987.
  19. On March 19, 2023, became the youngest player and first teenager to ever return to the No.1 ranking. 
  20. Finishes his teenage years riding a 20-match winning streak on Spanish soil.
