Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 3 seed, moved into the last 8 of the Almaty Open by winning against Australian lucky loser Rinky Hijikata 6-4, 7-5 at Almaty Arena on Wednesday.
Cobolli, ranked No 22, will play Australian qualifier James Duckworth next.
