ATP Auckland: Top seed Shelton breezes into quarter-finals

Ben Shelton, the top seed, won against Hungarian Fabian Marozsan 6-3, 6-4 to reach the last eight of the Auckland Open at the ASB Tennis Arena on Wednesday night.
The American played clean tennis, striking 30 winners to just eight unforced errors across the match, with 10 aces to his name.
Shelton, ranked No 16, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena and Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the No 7 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Auckland tournament, Marozsan, ranked No 65, edged out Frenchman Gael Monfils (6-4, 6-7 (6), 7-6 (4)).
