Banja Luka Open: Kecmanovic sets up semi-final with Djokovic’s conqueror Lajovic

Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 4 seed, defeated Czech Jiri Lehecka, the No 6 seed, 7-5, 6-0 to reach the semi-finals of the Banja Luka Open at the Tennis Klub Mladost on Friday evening.

Kecmanovic, ranked No 33, will play Dusan Lajovic next after he upset world No 1 Novak Djokovic earlier on Friday.

The Serb won against Jordanian qualifier Abdullah Shelbayh (6-4, 7-6 (4)) ahead of his victory.

In the previous rounds of the Banja Luka tournament, Lehecka, ranked No 36, won against French wildcard Gael Monfils (6-4, 6-3) and qualifier Radu Albot (6-0, 6-2).
