Bucharest Open: Baez moves into final

Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the top seed, advanced to the final of the Bucharest Open by defeating Hungarian Marton Fucsovics 6-2, 6-2 at the Năstase & Marica Sports Club on Saturday.

Baez, ranked No 36, will face the winner of the match between Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 3 seed, and Bosnian Damir Dzumhur next.

Ahead of his victory, the Argentinian won against Canadian Gabriel Diallo (7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-2) and Francisco Comesana (7-6 (5), 2-6, 6-1).

Fucsovics, ranked No 90, won against Italian Luca Nardi (6-3, 6-1), Argentinian Mariano Navone, the No 7 seed (4-6, 6-4, 6-4) and Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-0, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
