Cerundolo stays hot with Rio Open win over Gaston
Coming off a runner-up performance in Buenos Aires, Cerundolo defeated Hugo Gaston in straight sets on Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro

Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, advanced to the second round of the Rio Open by beating Frenchman Hugo Gaston 7-6 (9), 6-0 at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday night.
There were a whopping nine service breaks — six going to the recent Buenos Aires runner-up — over the course of one hour and 41 minutes.
Cerundolo, ranked No 26, will next play Italian Luciano Darderi.
