American Taylor Fritz, the No 11 seed, beat Argentinian Sebastian Baez 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the second round of the Cincinnati Masters at the Linder Tennis Family Center on Tuesday evening.
Fritz, ranked No 13, will face the winner of the match between Australian Nick Kyrgios and Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina next.
