Cordoba Open: Dellien makes semi-finals, Baez next

Qualifier Hugo Dellien advanced to the semi-finals of the Cordoba Open by winning against Argentinian wildcard and trophy holder Juan Manuel Cerundolo 6-7 (5), 6-4, 6-0 at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Friday night.

Dellien, ranked No 138, will play Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 4 seed, next.

Hugo Dellien defeated Argentinian Pedro Cachin, the No 5 seed (6-3, 6-4) and Argentinian wildcard Guido Pella (6-3, 6-4) ahead of his victory.

In the previous rounds of the Cordoba tournament, Cerundolo, ranked No 114, benefited from the abandonment of Spaniard Pablo Andujar (6-4, 1-0) and won against top seed Diego Schwartzman (7-6 (6), 6-1).
