Serb Dusan Lajovic won against Italian Flavio Cobolli 7-6 (5), 7-6 (3) to move into the quarter-finals of the Croatia Open at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag on Wednesday evening.
Lajovic, ranked No 53, will face Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the second seed, next.
The 34-year-old Serb beat Austrian qualifier Filip Misolic (6-4, 3-6, 6-2) in the previous round of the Umag tournament.
In the previous round of the Umag tournament, Cobolli, ranked No 48, won against Argentinian Mariano Navone, the No 6 seed (6-2, 6-3).
