Generali Open: Djere books spot in semi-finals, beats Cachin in straight sets

Serb Laslo Djere, the No 5 seed, defeated Argentinian Pedro Cachin, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the last 4 of the Generali Open at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Thursday.
Djere, ranked No 38, will face the winner of the match between Austrian wildcard Dominic Thiem and Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech next.

Earlier in the tournament, the Serb won against Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-4, 7-6 (4)) and Brazilian wildcard Thiago Seyboth Wild (7-6 (5), 6-3).
Cachin, ranked No 54, beat Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas (7-5, 6-3) in the previous round of the Kitzbuhel tournament.
