Geneva Open: Hurkacz too strong for Fritz, into semi-finals

Pole Hubert Hurkacz, the No 6 seed, beat American Taylor Fritz, the top seed, 6-3, 7-6 (5) to move into the semi-finals of the Geneva Open at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives.
Hurkacz, ranked No 31, will play Austrian qualifier Sebastian Ofner next.
Earlier in the tournament, the Pole won against French wildcard Arthur Cazaux (6-3, 6-4) and Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-4, 6-1).
Fritz, ranked No 4, defeated Frenchman Quentin Halys (6-4, 7-6 (5)) in the previous round of the Geneva tournament.
