Hamburg Open: Nakashima makes second round
Brandon Nakashima benefited from the abandonment of Raphael Collignon (6-5) on Monday. He’ll play Italian Luciano Darderi in the next round

American Brandon Nakashima, the No 7 seed, advanced to the second round of the Hamburg Open when Belgian qualifier Raphael Collignon retired on Monday at Tennis Stadion.
Nakashima, ranked No 29, led 6-5 when Collignon, ranked No 84, pulled out at Tennis Stadion on Monday.
The American will face Italian Luciano Darderi next.
