Italian Matteo Berrettini won against Australian Aleksandar Vukic 7-6 (5), 6-3 to move into the quarter-finals of the Metz Open at the Arènes de Metz on Wednesday evening.
Berrettini, ranked No 63, will play American Learner Tien next.
In the previous round of the Metz tournament, the Italian defeated Frenchman Quentin Halys (6-2, 6-4).
Vukic, ranked No 87, edged out Frenchman Corentin Moutet, the No 8 seed (3-6, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (8)).
