Metz Open: Wawrinka cruises into second round
Stan Wawrinka won against Bernabe Zapata Miralles 6-0, 6-2 on Monday evening. He’ll play the winner of the match between Frenchman Luca Van Assche and Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp in the next round

Swiss Stan Wawrinka, the No 8 seed, won against Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles 6-0, 6-2 to move into the second round of the Metz Open at Arènes de Metz on Monday evening.
Wawrinka, ranked No 53, will face the winner of the match between Frenchman Luca Van Assche and Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp next.
He improves to 27-22 on the season, but has just mustered three wins in nine matches since the US Open.
