Miami Masters: Khachanov sets up Zverev clash in last 16

Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 15 seed, edged out Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 20 seed, 6-1, 5-7, 7-6 (5) to advance to the last 16 of the Miami Masters at the Hard Rock Stadium on Monday evening.

Khachanov, ranked No 16, clinched victory on his fifth match point and will now face German Alexander Zverev, the No 4 seed, next.

The Russian beat Serb Laslo Djere (6-2, 6-4) in the previous round of the Miami Open.

In the previous round of the Miami Open, Cerundolo, ranked No 21, won against Austrian Sebastian Ofner (7-6 (2), 6-7 (2), 6-1).
