Italian Flavio Cobolli advanced to the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters by beating Serbian qualifier Dusan Lajovic 6-4, 6-2 at the Monte-Carlo Country Club on Tuesday.
Cobolli, ranked No 36, will face the winner of the match between Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor and Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 12 seed, next.
