Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor won against American qualifier Learner Tien 6-4, 6-2 to reach the second round of the Munich Open at the MTTC Iphitos complex on Monday.
Griekspoor, ranked No 37, will play the winner of the match between German wildcard Yannick Hanfmann and No 6 seed Jakub Mensik next.
