Madrid Masters: Diallo wins battle of lucky losers, beats Majchrzak to make third round

Canadian lucky loser Gabriel Diallo advanced to the third round of the Madrid Masters by edging out Pole lucky loser Kamil Majchrzak 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 at the Caja Mágica.
It is the first time the Canadian has reached the third round at a Masters 1000 event and only his second clay-court victory at tour level.
Diallo, ranked No 78, will play Cameron Norrie next.
In the previous round of the Madrid tournament, the Canadian won against Belgian Zizou Bergs (6-1, 6-2).
