Nakashima gets past Goffin in Acapulco quarter-finals
Brandon Nakashima beat David Goffin in straight sets on Thursday in Acapulco. Nakashoma will battle Tomas Machac for a place in the final.

Brandon Nakashima moved into the last four of the Mexican Open by defeating Belgian David Goffin 7-6 (4), 6-2 at the Arena GNP Seguros in Acapulco on Thursday night.
Nakashima, ranked No 42, will next face No 8 seed Tomas Machac.
The American previously beat Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (7-6 (6), 7-5) and Dane Holger Rune, the No 4 seed (3-0 ret.).
In the previous rounds of the Acapulco tournament, Goffin — ranked No 63 — got the best of Australian Rinky Hijikata (6-2, 6-3) and American Ben Shelton, the No 5 seed (7-6 (3), 6-3).
