Chilean qualifier Alejandro Tabilo moved into quarter-finals of the Auckland Open by winning against Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp 7-5, 6-3 at the ASB Tennis Arena on Wednesday night.
Tabilo, ranked No 82, will face the winner of the match between French qualifier Luca Van Assche and second seed Cameron Norrie next.
Ahead of his victory, the Chilean beat Croat Borna Gojo (1-6, 6-3, 6-2).
Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 59, won against American Christopher Eubanks, the No 5 seed (7-6 (5), 6-2) in the previous round of the Auckland tournament.
