Rio Open: Hugo Dellien reaches last 8

Hugo Dellien defeated Slovak Alex Molcan, the No 9 seed, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Rio Open at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday night.
Dellien, ranked No 111, will play the winner of the match between Brazilian Thiago Monteiro and second seed Cameron Norrie next.
Dellien, who reached the semi-finals in Cordoba two weeks ago, has reached two quarter-finals in three weeks on the South American swing.
Hugo Dellien won against Portuguese João Sousa (6-0, 6-2) in the previous round of the Brazilian Open.
During the first round of the Brazilian Open, Molcan, ranked No 54, won against Brazilian wildcard Joao Fonseca (6-0, 6-3).
