American Maxime Cressy beat Dutch wildcard Tim van Rijthoven 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Rotterdam Open at the Rotterdam Ahoy on Wednesday.
Cressy, ranked No 40, will play the winner of the match between Australian Alex De Minaur and Russian Andrey Rublev, the second seed, next.
