Rotterdam Open: Griekspoor books spot in semi-finals
Tallon Griekspoor defeated Gijs Brouwer 6-4, 6-4 on Friday evening and will face Italian Jannik Sinner in the next round
Wildcard Tallon Griekspoor reached the last four of the Rotterdam Open by winning against wildcard Gijs Brouwer 6-4, 6-4 at the Rotterdam Ahoy on Friday evening.
Griekspoor, ranked No 61, will play Italian Jannik Sinner next.
Earlier in the tournament, Tallon Griekspoor defeated Swede qualifier Mikael Ymer (7-6 (7), 7-5) and edged out German Alexander Zverev, the No 8 seed (4-6, 6-3, 6-4).
Brouwer, ranked No 160, won against Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler (6-3, 7-5) and Dane Holger Rune, the No 4 seed (6-4, 4-0 ret.) in the previous rounds of the Rotterdam tournament.
